A group of six Danish artists (three couples) produced fifteen sculptures made with plastic sheeting and iron construction rods salvaged from old Beirut buildings. Each couple concentrated on one aspect of Lebanon’s reconstruction: that of nature, of architecture and of new sculptural images.
The Corniche Project was one of the earlier initiatives by Ashkal Alwan: The Lebanese Association for Plastic Arts.
